North Fork Town

Creek Council Ground

Location of Marker: On side of Foley Hill, west edge of Eufaula, McIntosh County.

It was here Confederate Commissioner Albert Pike met with Creek counselors. A Creek treaty was signed with the Confederate States on July 10, 1861, at North Fork Town, two miles east of this marker and now inundated by Lake Eufaula.
