Welcome to the web-site of the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, dedicated to the life & times of General Sam Houston, former Governor of Tennessee, victor over Santa Anna in the Texas War of Independence, first President of the Republic of Texas, Senator from the State of Texas and Governor of the State of Texas.

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday: 11 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Admission

$5 for general admission, $3 for children ages 6-18, $4 for 65+, and free for members/SHSU students. Closed on some federal/state holidays.
