Entering the Post

Anyone entering Fort McPherson and Fort Gillem should be prepared to show a military-issued identification card.  Anyone entering either post also should be prepared to have their vehicle inspected as they enter the installations -- a process that may greatly increase the amount of time necessary to get on post.

Iverson Gate (at Jonesboro Road) is open for both entering and exiting traffic from 6 until 9 a.m., from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 3:30 until 6 p.m. The Iverson Gate is closed weekends and holidays.
