Michael has a BA in History & American Studies and an MSc in American History from the University of Edinburgh. He comes from a proud military family and has spent most of his career as an educator in the Middle East and Asia. His passion is travel, and he seizes any opportunity to share his experiences in the most immersive way possible, whether at sea or on the land.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Monday/Sunday, closed.
Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
With advance arrangements, group tours and special guests are invited to visit at non-standard times.

Admission Fees

Families (2 adults/4 children) - $17 per family.
Youth (5 to 17 yrs. of age) - $4 ea.
Adults - $6 ea.
Seniors (65+) - $5 ea.
Tour Groups (Advance Notice Required) - $5 ea.
School Groups (Advance Notice Required) - $3 ea.
State taxes are added to the above fees.

Accessibility

Wheel-chair accessible. At this time, there is no special facilities for the visual or hearing impaired.

Driving Directions

From the north: Drive south on US Highway 81 into Duncan. Turn right at Elk Ave. (there's a traffic light and a Burger King on the corner). Drive 1 mile west, to Chisholm Trail Parkway. Turn left (south) on Chisholm Trail Parkway. Travel one-half mile south. The Heritage Center is the first building on the left (east).

From the south: Drive north on US Highway 81 into Duncan. Turn left (west) at Beech Ave. (at traffic light, the old Rock Island Steam Locomotive will be on your right just before Beech). Travel 1 mile west, to Chisholm Trail Parkway. Turn right (north) on Chisholm Trail Parkway. Travel just over one-half mile north. The Heritage Center will be on your right (east), just north of the Simmons Center.
